WATCH: Johnny Depp And Funny Or Die Made A Secret Donald Trump Movie

Five words: Henry Winkler as Ed Koch.

For the most part, it’s a really good time to not like Johnny Depp. Between Kevin Smith movies, another go with Jack Sparrow, and his Mad Hatter character, the guy’s giving us opportunity after opportunity to be annoyed by him.

But then, every once in a while, he does something good. For instance, he and a bunch of other people made a secret “lost” film about Donald Trump for Funny or Die. You can watch it here.

At fifty minutes long, the overall joke runs out of gas way before the credits roll, but you have to give Depp credit for that solid Trump impression. He apparently filmed this over the course of four days. That’s respectable! Nevertheless, like a lot of Funny or Die videos, the real stars here arrive in the form of cameos. I’m particularly fond of Henry Winkler as Ed Koch, but Alfred Molina, Jason Mantzoukas, and Alf are all pretty great as well.

I think this would have better as a three-minute trailer for a fake film, but I admire the ambitiousness on display here. On the other hand, if you want to watch a real satisfying burn on the stars of this election, check out Hulu’s Triumph the Insult Comic Dog special. It’s amazing.
