It’s Official - Kurt Russell Joins GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
There has been a lot of speculation that Kurt Russell would appear in the now-filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Well, speculate no more. Marvel just released an official press release listing Russell as one of the cast members. It doesn’t say who he will play, but I’m sure most people will assume he’s going to play Star Lord’s father.
This is great news! Russell’s been killing it lately in incredible movies like The Hateful Eight and Bone Tomahawk, as well as being one of the best parts of slightly less than incredible movies like Furious 7. He’s on top of the world all the sudden, which is right where he belongs.
The press release also lists Oldboy’s Pom Klementieff, The Great Gatsby’s Elizabeth Debicki, and The Knick’s Chris Sullivan as new cast members. And, of course, everyone you expect to come back is coming back.
