See Inside Aidy Bryant’s Lovely Brain in DARBY FOREVER

The SNL star wrote a new short film with SNL writer Chris Kelly.

Yesterday, Vimeo released Darby Forever, a Saturday Night Live-adjacent short film directed by SNL director Osmany Rodriguez, starring SNL genius Aidy Bryant and co-written by Bryant and her close friend, SNL writer Chris Kelly. And it is ADORABLE. Please watch it immediately and put yourself in a very good mood.

Darby is a quiet, oddball employee at a fabric store I would kill to patronize called Bobbins and Notions. As customers come and go, Darby imagines herself as part of their seemingly perfect lives: she's a bitchin' rock star heading a band called Darby and The Bad Girls; she's a garden party mom with an adoring little daughter. Meanwhile, in her real life, she's dealing with clueless customers, an unamused boss and a serious crush on the water cooler guy.

Darby Forever is colorful and charming, a real people-pleaser that also stars Parks and Recreation's Retta and Orange is the New Black's Natasha Lyonne. Watch the trailer below, and see the film itself on Vimeo
