Joseph Kosinski is leaving vapid science fiction behind for a while to make No Exit, a movie about the Yarnell Hill Wildfire, which spread over 8,400 acres and killed nineteen firefighters. One would think he’d leave holograms and sentient computers out of the mix on this one.
But he will need actors to play these heroes. According to Variety, he now has two in the form of Josh Brolin and Miles Teller. That’s a hunk per generation. Add Michael Douglas, and this could be a girls night out that really brings the whole family together.
Even thought this is based on a real tragedy, Variety is describing No Exit as an action film. Not that those things are mutually exclusive, especially with writing work done by Black Hawk Down’s Ken Nolan.
The film surely has a lot of casting to do yet. As of now it has no production start date.
