GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Trailer Only Makes The Wait Harder

There’s a default excitement that comes with a new Game of Thrones season, but this trailer for season six takes things to a whole new level:

This offers a great summation of where our characters ended season five, while also giving some almost spoilery indications of where they will go in season six. It’s a whole different ball game now for readers of the book, and seeing these images without knowing exactly what they mean is both exciting and excruciating at the same time.

I mean look at this:

Oh man!

The only downside is the trailer’s use of the now cliche trailer trope in which a sultry female singer creepily moans some older song, in this case Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Love”. Given everything else going on in this trailer, I can forgive that.

Game of Thrones sadly doesn’t come back until April 24.
