The latest episode of The Canon may not unfold the way you expect. That's just a warning.
This week Amy and I take a look at two of the prominent Christ movies of the last few years - Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ and Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. The differences in how each film approach not just the final hours of Christ's life but everything else about him can be telling - not just of the two filmmakers, but also about your larger theological view.
I have to admit: this was an episode I wish could have gone on for many more hours. I like the way the head-to-head battle allows us to have specific conversations about approach and about religion, but I could talk about Last Temptation forever.
