John Krasinski May Investigate The GOD PARTICLE

Another crew member circles JJ Abrams' mysterious space movie.

According to Variety, John Krasinski is in talks to join the JJ Abrams-produced God Particle, which sounds like it's been designed from the ground up to be fodder for the Mystery Box:

"...the long-in-development movie takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for survival."

Krasinski would play either a) one of the astronauts or b) the terrifying discovery that challenges everything the astronauts know about the fabric of reality. If it's the former, he'd be joining Selma's David Oyelowo and Concussion's Gugu Mbatha-Raw, both of whom are in the process of signing on to the project. Interestingly, the film's being directed by Julius Onah, a filmmaker I admit to being wholly unfamiliar with (anyone seen The Girl Is In Trouble?).

So, what do you guys think the terrifying discovery is? Gotta be that we're living in a simulation, right?
