Stephen Merchant Joins The Cast Of WOLVERINE 3

According to Deadline, James Mangold's Wolverine 3 just gained another cast member: Stephen Merchant, co-creator of The Office and tallest co-host on the The Ricky Gervais Show.

There's no word on what role Merchant might be playing; indeed, Deadline's announcement provides even less information than this morning's announcement regarding Hudson Hawk star Richard E. Grant. One's first instinct might be to assume that Merchant will be playing a comic relief role of some sort, but...I dunno, I'm picturing Merchant doing something both comic and sinister. Maybe a particularly sassy henchman working in Grant's mad scientist lab.
