Adam McKay To Finally Make A Superhero Movie With IRREDEEMABLE

Good heroes take on a bad hero with the help of an evil villain.

Adam McKay has been itching to make a superhero movie for a while. He did some writing on Ant-Man, but that’s not the same thing. He wants to get in there and direct the shit out of this stuff.

And now, with the help of Fox, he’s going to get that chance. According to Deadline, McKay will direct Irredeemable, an adaptation of Mark Waid’s Boom! comic that will be scripted by Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ Tommy Wirkola.

It’s rare to see someone adapt a comic book property few have heard of, but Irredeemable’s story has a lot of appeal. The plot focuses on a Superman-like guy named the Plutonian who used to be good but now offs anyone he disagrees with. His old colleagues, a group of heroes called the Paradigm, want to stop him but they’re all too wimpy and have to call upon the help of a super villain.

Sounds good to me. Hopefully we start seeing casting for this soon.
