I don’t know how many people still like Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, but many still watch it. And his first season of American Crime Story (you know, the OJ show) was all I ever heard about while it aired. So it’s no wonder FX would like to get more of that Ryan Murphy anthology show action.
The next dose is going to come in the form of Feud. According to Variety, the first eight-episode season of Feud will focus on - and I’m not kidding, here - the famous Hollywood rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Susan Sarandon will play Davis. Ryan Murphy mainstay Jessica Lange is going to play Crawford.
This is so perfect, I can hardly believe it’s true. It even gets a little better. Alfred Molina is playing Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? director Robert Aldrich. Stanley Tucci is playing studio head Jack Warner. Judy Davis is playing gossip columnist Hedda Hopper. It’s going to be amazing.
Feud will head into production in the fall with expectations to land on TV some time in 2017. So you have plenty of time to organize your viewing parties.
