Birth.Movies.Giveaway: One Of You Is Gonna Win An Actual Prop From DEADPOOL

You don't even have to do anything to win it!

Tim Miller's Deadpool was probably the most pleasant surprise I've had in a movie theater since college, so I'm very excited to announce that we've teamed up with 20th Century Fox to offer a legitimately awesome prize to one lucky Birth.Movies.Death. reader: an actual prop from Deadpool

More specifically: the "I'm Sorry" pizza box. If you've seen the film, you know the scene. But here's what it looks like, complete with a little certificate of authenticity:

How cool is that? We've given away a lot of posters and Blu-rays and whatnot in our time, but as far as I can recall this is the first time we've had a chance to give away an actual movie prop. Whoever wins this giveaway better frame that box and cherish it, because that thing is one of a kind (list it on eBay and we'll send Wade Wilson after you).

And, hey, speaking of giving away Blu-rays - guess what movie lands on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K tomorrow? That's right: Tim Miller's Deadpool! And in addition to the prop giveaway, we're also going to be giving away a Blu-ray copy of the film. This post is jam-packed with free stuff!

Here's what it looks like.

And here's the description of the Blu-ray from the press release:

Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that brought you all 3 Taken films comes Deadpool, the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics’ sexiest anti-hero: me!

Go deep inside (I love that) my origin story...typical stuff...rogue experiment, accelerated healing powers, horrible disfigurement, red spandex, imminent revenge. Directed by overpaid tool Tim Miller, and starring God’s perfect idiot Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and Gina Carano, Deadpool is a giddy slice of awesomeness packed with more twists than my enemies’ intestines and more action than prom night. Amazeballs!

According to the notes I've received, the Blu-ray special features include deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, audio commentaries, a featurette called "From Comics To Screen...To Screen", a photo gallery, and - perhaps most enticingly - something called "Deadpool's Fun Sack".

That's a pretty stacked Blu (I'm particularly interested to hear the audio commentaries on this thing). And just think: you don't even have to pay for it! We're just gonna give it to you.

So here's how you win:

  1. Leave a comment below. One comment. Multiple comments get you disqualified.
  2. Wait for Friday.
  3. On Thursday, two winners will be selected at random from the comments below.
  4. On Friday I'll edit this post (and announce on Twitter) who those winners are.

That's it! Very simple, no? As for the comment you'll be leaving in the space below: winners are being chosen entirely at random, so it really doesn't matter what your comment contains. Could be a Deadpool quote, could be a Deadpool meme, could be a photo of some chimichangas - it seriously doesn't matter. You'll have to leave something there in order for Disqus to publish the comment, but beyond that: have fun with it.

We're super excited to be offering up this piece of movie memorabilia to a lucky Birth.Movies.Death. reader, and wish good luck to all of you.
