Michael Shannon To Play Bigfoot (Kind Of) In New Comedy POTTERSVILLE

This movie just skyrocketed to the top of Scott's must-see list.

Somehow, a new indie dramedy by the name of Pottersville has quietly assembled what may be the greatest cast of all time, finished shooting, and we're only just now hearing about it.

Look at this list of names: Ron Perlman, Judy Greer, Thomas Lennon, Ian McShane, Christina Hendricks, and holy-shit-are-you-kidding-me Michael Shannon (if you're playing along at home, this is the second piece of Michael Shannon-related news I've had the pleasure of writing up today, which basically means today is the best day I've ever had working for this site). That is a murderer's row of talent.

But, wait - it gets better. The film revolves around a local businessman (Shannon) who gets mistaken for Bigfoot while drunkenly rampaging through town in a homemade gorilla costume. When the host (Lennon) of a Monster Hunters-style reality show shows up looking to capture the beast, Shannon's character must decide whether to identify himself as "Bigfoot"...or let everyone continue believing the lie.

I don't know what else to say. If that plot description doesn't pique your interest, I'm not sure I can help you. Michael Shannon. Drunk. A homemade gorilla costume. Tom Lennon as a douchebag reality TV show host. Lord only knows what the rest of this amazing cast will be doing in the film.

Directed by relative newcomer Seth Henrikson, Pottersville just wrapped shooting. No word yet on distribution or release date, but you can bet your sweet ass we will be keeping you posted as developments roll in.
