Bill Murray Is THE KING OF COUNTERFEIT

It's a twisty romance-crime thing from John McNaughton.

Bill Murray, last seen wrecking shop as Baloo The Bear in Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book, will next headline John McNaughton's romantic crime thriller, The King Of Counterfeit

Here's the plot, according to Deadline:

"(The King Of Counterfeit is) a fast-paced love story centered around two ambitious young counterfeiters and the crooked superstar lawyer who mentors them. The young couple gets rich after learning how to perfectly print counterfeit money, but when a murderous fellow con man feels threatened by their game, getting caught by the cops becomes the least of their worries."

Presumably, Murray will be playing the "crooked superstar lawyer" in this equation, while co-stars Linda Cardellini and Josh Hutcherson will be playing the ambitious young counterfeiters. Based on the description, it's probably not crazy to think one or more of these characters will be double-crossed. It's also not crazy to assume that Murray will be playing the titular King.

No further details are available at this time, but we'll keep you updated as they roll in.

In the meantime, here's a fun fact: McNaughton and Murray previously worked together on 1993's Mad Dog And Glory (a somewhat less-fun fact: I still have not seen Mad Dog And Glory).
