Get Down With The Funky Theme From THE NICE GUYS
Last year Daniel Pemberton’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015) was the retro-score darling of the year and perfectly captured the vibe and presence of '60s film music with one score. This year the best retro-score could come from the 1970s in the form of John Ottman and David Buckley’s music for The Nice Guys (2016).
Take a listen to this exclusive clip from Lakeshore Records featuring the film's main theme. It’s got pretty much everything you’d want in a '70s laden trip down memory lane: wah-wah guitar, a mighty horn section, funky bass, and greasy saxophone solos. Cool stuff! I hope there’s more where that came from.
The Nice Guys opens this weekend (Friday, May 20th) and the song compilation album will be released by Lakeshore Records.
