Here’s A Five-Minute, Spoiler-Filled Trailer For INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE

This morning, 20th Century Fox dropped a massive extended trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence. At just under five minutes long, the trailer feels like a supercut of the film's first two acts, with all the spoilery goodness that would imply.

So maybe don't watch this thing if you're super concerned about having key plot points of Independence Day: Resurgence spoiled for you.  

Here is my reaction: that looks like the most expensive B-movie ever made.

I remain baffled that anyone would be pumped about an Independence Day sequel. But I suppose if you're into poorly-designed aliens and Roland Emmerich's oddly sterile aesthetic and full-on Destruction Porn (genre motto: "No Building Left Unscathed") and stilted line readings and Jeff Goldblum quipping up a storm in the face of humanity's annihilation, this must get your heart pounding. The rest of us don't feel welcome at this particular party, but hey, have a good time with all that.
