It seems that audiences and fans (and Birth.Movies.Death. staffs) are divided on AMC's Preacher.
On one side, you've got your purists who aren't thrilled with the changes that have been made to Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's classic Vertigo series. On another side, you've got fans that aren't opposed to change, but they're not convinced the changes that have been made are for the better. And on yet another side, you've got people that seem happy to roll with the punches and see where this thing takes us.
No matter which group you identify with in this debate, you recognize that series creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have taken a number of creative liberties with the source material. Wondering what they have to say about the changes? Then you might want to head over to this page at AMC, where you can watch Preacher's pilot episode with a director's commentary from Rogen and Goldberg (note: I haven't had a chance to check out said commentary myself, but I gotta assume these two will have things to say about the show's creative restructuring). Let's hear 'em out and see what they have to say for themselves!
The next episode of Preacher airs this Sunday on AMC. You tuning in for another go? I'm onboard with the show so far, so I'm looking forward to it.
