In a new interview with The Rich Eisen Show (sure, okay), J.B. Smoove says that Larry David's kicking around ideas for a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
See J.B. Smoove say these things with your very own eyes in the video below:
If you're locked out of watching that clip (or if you just don't like having your news delivered to you via the video format), Smoove says that he still talks to LD on the regular, and that - during one of their recent phone calls - Larry asked him if he'd be available to return to Curb, should a new season come together.
Here's a transcription of what he said, in case you don't like videos or reading someone else's interpretation of a direct quote (h/t to ScreenCrush):
He starts off with his little, ‘Ehhhhh, you know, I’m thinking about coming back.’ But see, that’s great because he has not said no, which puts us in a great position for possibilities … that means it’s still going,” Smoove continued. “If Larry does not say no, there’s a possibility he may say yes. And then he went extra. He said, ‘If I do come back, would you be available?’ I said, ‘You know something Larry, I’ll be available. just call me, give me early notice, and I’ll be there.’
So, nothing official's being said here. J.B. Smoove could, in fact, be making all of this up in an effort to make friends, which would be tremendously sad. But if we take what he says at face value (I'm going to!), this could mean that a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm's in the works.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
