Michael Peña And Alexander Skarsgård Declare WAR ON EVERYONE In This NSFW Trailer

Oh, my god. Where did this come from?

Y'know what blows? Mondays. Y'know what doesn't blow? Waking up on a Monday, clocking in to work, and discovering that there's a brand new John Michael McDonagh movie on the horizon. That said film stars Michael Peña and Alexander Skarsgård and looks like an unofficial entry in the Bad Lieutenant franchise is just an incredible bonus, a gift we almost certainly do not deserve.

Just look at this thing.

I'm into everything going on here. I'm into the bizarro intensity Skarsgård's bringing to the role. I'm into Michael Peña ragging on his own kid. I'm into coke dealers being kicked in the nuts just for admitting they're dyslexic. And I'm certainly into a new movie from McDonagh, whose The Guard is one of the funniest films of the past decade. This could be great.

Here's a brief plot synopsis:

Two corrupt cops in New Mexico set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path. Things take a sinister turn, however, when they try to intimidate someone who is more dangerous than they are. Or is he?

A little digging reveals that War On Everyone screened at this year's SXSW Film Festival, that the reviews are solid ("This one's for you, misanthropic, bitter assholes"), and that McDonagh's new film opens with Peña and Skarsgård running over a mime. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to purchase my tickets.

War On Everyone arrives in the UK on September 30th. No word on the US release date, but you can bet your ass we'll keep you updated.
