Check Out Radiohead’s New Short, Featuring That Weird Dude From HOLY MOTORS
Radiohead's been doing some interesting stuff with their new album, A Moon Shaped Pool. They dropped a delightfully weird video (based on The Wicker Man!) for the record's first single, partnered with Paul Thomas Anderson on another video, sent 35mm prints of Anderson's video to theaters around the country, and had Richard Ayaode put together a minute-long Instagram short based on another of the album's songs.
And now they've released another one! This latest Instagram short comes to us from The Lobster director Yorgos Lanthimos, and stars none other than Denis Lavant, the brilliant madman who appeared in Holy Motors (y'know, that movie you keep saying you're going to watch and never do? Definitely give it a shot, it'll knock you on your ass).
Here, take a look.
So, OK, not much to that, but still: it's interesting to see such gifted filmmakers lining up to work with these guys. Even if the end results aren't always Earth-shattering, I think this kind of thing is still worthy of our attention. And, hey, if nothing else, it gave me a good excuse to recommend Holy Motors again.
Got anything to add? You know what to do.
