Hailee Steinfeld Has Issues In This THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN Trailer

Being a teenager is tough, something movies have been dealing with for decades. Here comes another such movie in the form of The Edge of Seventeen, which just debuted a slightly NSFW and strangely long trailer:

While written and directed by first time director Kelly Fremon, The Edge of Seventeen was also produced by James L. Brooks and appears to have some of the same dramedy tone you’d expect from one of his films, but with a little more edge. I'm very happy to see an R-rated teenager film come out that isn't filled with gross-out gags.

Hailee Steinfeld has yet to live up to the promise she showed in True Grit several years ago, though that’s likely a result of the roles she has to choose from. Also, I mean, how do you top that True Grit performance? Nevertheless, this could be another huge step for her. It helps that she’s aided by real pros like Woody Harrelson and Kyra Sedgwick.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about The Edge of Seventeen as it nears its September 30 release date.
