SDCC: Get Your First Look At Kurt Russell’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Costume
Last night, Marvel blew the roof of SDCC's Hall H with one awesome reveal after another. They revealed a new Doctor Strange trailer, who Michael B. Jordan's playing in Black Panther, officially announced that Brie Larson will play Captain Marvel, gave us our first look at Spider-Man: Homecoming's Vulture, and - last, but certainly not least - they revealed that Kurt Russell would be playing Ego The Living Planet in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
This version of Ego will be slightly different from the one you might remember from the comics: rather than being just a gigantic, talking planet, GOTGV2's Ego will also have a human form (yes, he'll have a dick). And when in human form, Kurt Russell's Ego will be wearing this costume, recently spotted on the floor at SDCC.
So, that's pretty cool! Sorta non-descript, really. Ornamental shoulder-pads, some wrist-guards, a cape, some pants. It's not quite the look I'd expect a Living Planet to be rocking, but what do I know? James Gunn knows damn well what he's doing, and I'm not gonna stand in his way.
