If you missed FX's American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson when it aired earlier this year, I have exciting news for you: the series is coming to Netflix sometime next year.
According to The Verge:
Netflix just nabbed the global rights to the first season of FX's popular American Crime Story series, The People v. O.J. Simpson. The 10-episode season, structured like a standalone mini-series, follows the 1995 trial of O.J. Simpson (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Right now, there's no word on when the show's first season will arrive on Netflix (it's just "sometime in 2017"), but whatever: this is cause for celebration. American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson is a legitimately gripping 10 hours' worth of television, better - in virtually every way - than 80% of the movies I've seen this year. It was one of 2016's most delightful surprises, and I can't wait to dive into it again (Netflix or not, I'm pretty sure I'll buy this on Blu-ray, 'cause that'll get it back into my life that much sooner).
To those of you who didn't watch this series when it ran earlier this year, know that you've got something to look forward to in 2017. To those of you who have already seen it, feel free to back me up in the comments below.
