Stacie Passon is currently getting ready to adapt Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle, a story about a hermit family that calls upon a higher power to keep annoying townspeople away from their home. But then a greedy cousin shows up to steal all their money and shit hits fans.
The film already stars Captain America’s best pal Sebastian Stan. And according to The Hollywood Reporter, it just picked up two other cast members in the form of Alexandra Daddario and American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga.
Shirley Jackson is also the writer of The Haunting of Hill House so expect a lot of spooky business to go along with whatever hermit family lunacy the film throws at us. Surely there are more family members to get cast. Expect more news on this in the future. Especially if it's a slow news day.
