I’ve been on a few airplanes recently, and I decided to use that opportunity to read more of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books, particularly Never Go Back, the novel upon which the next Jack Reacher movie is based, and then when that was done I immediately left it on a bench and picked up which ever random Reacher book they had in the airport book store. You know there’s always going to be at least one (in this case it was Make Me).
My point is, I have Reacher on the mind, which means I’m extra ready to check out this new film. Going off the book, Never Go Back way more of a two-hander than the first Jack Reacher movie. And also quite a bit less action packed. I bet they beef that aspect up in the film version, however.
Speaking of the film version, it has a new, kind of longer than normal, TV spot:
Admittedly, there isn’t a whole lot of new stuff there. But if you want new, look no further than this fancy poster for the film:
Tom Cruise. American flag. You got a good 50% of America eating out of your hand right there. And that's just how Reacher likes it!
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back comes out October 1 and will almost certainly make you feel like a fat idiot.
