There are tons of scary videos online that supposedly show possessions or ghost activity or whatever. I assume they are all bullshit. But even with all that skepticism in tow, I still have to admit the Elisa Lam elevator video freaks me out.
If you haven’t seen it, here ya go:
There’s been an effort to make a horror film called The Bringing on the subject for some time. At one point Nicolas Winding Refn was involved. Instead it will be directed by Sherlock director Jeremy Lovering. And, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it will star Michael Peña.
The story takes place after the elevator incident. Peña will play a guy investigating Lam’s death. I imagine he doesn’t close his computer in disappointment after five minutes, which is what happens any time I investigate her death. Maybe he'll end up acting goofy in an elevator as well.
The original script for the film was on the 2014 Black List, and has since been worked on by Starry Eyes’ Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer. Before that Evan Dickson worked on the script as well. Whatever kind of horror we end up getting with this, here’s hoping it lives up to the original video.
