TRUE DETECTIVE’s Glenn Fleshler Joins The Cast Of George Clooney’s SUBURBICON

This movie sounds amazing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glenn Fleshler (an actor known to True Detective fans as The King In Yellow, The Yellow King, The Lawnmower Man, or - if you're nasty - The "Makin' Flowers" Guy) has just joined George Clooney's upcoming film, Suburbicon.

What's Suburbicon about? I'm glad you asked.

Suburbicon tells of father who hatches a plan to kill his wife in order to be with the woman’s sister, with whom he’s having an affair. Unfortunately, his eight-year old son catches on and turns the whole plan upside down.

That plot synopsis sounds strong, but it sounds even stronger when you realize the script was written by Joel and Ethan Coen. Honestly, the fact that Clooney's directing just feels like an extravagant bonus.

Fleshler joins an already-impressive cast which includes Matt Damon (as the murderous husband), Julianne Moore (as the wife's sister), Josh Brolin (the son's Little League coach), Oscar Isaac (an insurance investigator), and Woody Harrelson as the boy's uncle, who I assume - in the great tradition of all uncles and Woody Harrelson characters - will be something of a character. Fleshler, meanwhile, will play one of the hit men Damon hires to kill his wife.

This is one helluva cast with a helluva creative team attached. We'll be keeping a close eye on Suburbicon as it works its way to screens. Stay tuned.
