MASCOTS Trailer: Christopher Guest’s Netflix Movie Looks Hilarious

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised.

There's so much great stuff packed into this Mascots trailer, I don't even know where to start.

Maybe it's the casting (which includes Guest regulars like Jane Lynch, Fred Willard, Ed Begley Jr., Parker Posey, and Jennifer Coolidge, in addition to relative comedy newcomers like Zack Woods, Chris O’Dowd, and Sarah Baker). Maybe it's the fact that virtually every joke in this trailer lands. Maybe it's the fact that the whole thing looks like classic Guest (I don't know why this feels like such a relief; was there ever any doubt?).

Take your pick, but this is an excellent trailer. I am immediately onboard with what it's selling.

Here's the plot synopsis, in case you need such a thing:

Mascots is a new comedy from Christopher Guest, director of Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show. Starring many of his regular troupe of actors, this latest film takes place in the ultra-competitive world of sports mascots where they compete for the most prestigious award in their field, the Gold Fluffy.

Mascots premieres on Netflix on October 13th, but will also screen at this month's TIFF. Keep your eyes peeled for early reviews.
