X Japan is one of the world’s biggest bands, but people in America have hardly heard of them at all. Perhaps that’s all going to change with the release of Drafthouse Films and Passion Pictures' documentary We Are X.

We Are X was made by the team that made Searching for Sugar Man, and looks at the band’s three-decade-long history and its many ups and downs, all while leading up to a big reunion concert at Madison Square Garden. The film will hit theaters October 21.
