What you are about to see is the first trailer for Universal's Ordinary World, which appears to be dramedy about one former punk musician wrestling with the boredom of growin' up and gettin' a job and bein' an adult and stuff.
It stars a whole bunch of funny and talented actors - Fred Armisen, Selma Blair, Judy Greer, Kevin Corrigan, Chris Messina - and it also, quite inexplicably, features Billie Joe Armstrong in the lead role.
Billie Joe Armstrong. The lead singer of Green Day.
Guys, I'm serious, look.
I have a million questions. Questions like: how did this happen? Why is this happening? Who is the target audience for this movie? Does Billie Joe Armstrong have acting experience that I'm unaware of? Who signed off on the promotional image (poster?) below?
I have no fucking idea what's going on here.
Against all odds, Ordinary World will be in theaters on October 14th.
