TRIPLE THREAT Of Supreme Badasses Sign Up For New Film From JOHN WICK’s Chad Stahelski

All the ingredients you need for greatness, right here.

Tell me Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais and Tiger Chen are going to be in a movie, and I will already be there. Tell me that film will be co-directed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski, I may wonder if you’re just playing some kind of cruel prank.

But it’s no joke. According to The Hollywood Reporter, all three of these ass-kickers are going to star in a film called - no joke - Triple Threat to be directed by Stahelski and Wang Xiaolie. The film is written by Dwayne Smith and will focus on a guy on a mission to save his family, who have been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.

To make things seriously confusing, there is another movie starring Jaa, Chen, and Uwais that we reported on in September called Makeshift Squad. We had no plot for that one, but its director is expected to be Gary Mak. Which is the long way of saying, it sounds like we have two different films on our hands rather than one now very mutated project. Maybe if we’re lucky, this trio will just hang out making movies together for the rest of their career.
