We Need To Talk About How Badass The First GHOST IN THE SHELL Trailer Is

This movie looks awesome.

Paramount just dropped the first full-length Ghost In The Shell trailer on us, and good lord this thing looks incredible.

Check it out:

If you're as unfamiliar with the source material as I am, you might be wondering what all this bonkers imagery adds up to. According to the official synopsis:

A cyborg (Scarlett Johansson) leads an elite task force to battle dangerous criminals and extremists.

OK, so, not much to go on there, but good enough for me. I don't necessarily need to know why spider-robot-ladies are invading a dinner party, or what's up with that one dude's eyes, or why Scarlett Johansson is being attacked by what appears to be a large pile of corpses. All I need to know is whether or not I'm into it, and I am absolutely into all of this. I watched this trailer three times while I was supposed to be writing it up.

Ghost In The Shell, directed by Rupert Sanders and co-starring Juliette Binoche, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk and Takeshi Kitano, arrives on March 31st, 2017. Let's talk about how cool it looks in the space below.
