We know who will be in Lucasfilm’s young Han Solo spinoff (Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke), and we even know who will make the film (the so far unbeatable team of Lord and Miller). But we really don’t know what else to expect from the movie.
But now we at least have a description of what tone they’re going for. According to Kathleen Kennedy, the Han Solo spinoff is chasing a “heist or Western type feel”. Not only that, but she referenced Frederic Remington paintings as a visual comparison. Here’s an example of his work:
This all seems pretty exciting. Exciting enough to keep me positive on a “Young ____” story, few of which seem to satisfy. But yeah, I’ll take a Star Wars heist Western with bright colors, no problem.
