Disney's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in just over two weeks, which means we're entering the "blitzkrieg" phase of this movie's marketing machine. If the past decade is anything to go by, we're going to spend the time between now and December 16th wading through TV spots, shiny new photos, and probably dodging a leaked spoiler or two. That's the game and we're all playing, whether we like it or not.
Speaking of which, the first Rogue One clip is now online.
This looks pretty cool! I'm confused why that 1080p quality looks more like 50p, but other than that I'm digging what I see here. Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso looks like a capable badass, Diego Luna gets a charming little moment where he decides she doesn't need his help, and we even get a snappy little line of dialogue from Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO. More than anything, this looks fun, and lord knows I'd be onboard for something fun right about now.
This weekend, I'm headed to Skywalker Ranch for the official Rogue One press junket, which means that marketing blitzkrieg I mentioned before is definitely going to continue here at BMD over the next few weeks. Got some exciting interviews lined up for you guys. Stay tuned.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens on December 16th. You've probably already bought your tickets.
