Telltale Games Is Making A GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Adventure Game

What a great pairing.

Last night's Game Awards delivered many surprises (make sure you see the trailer for Death Stranding), but few were as exciting as this: Telltale Games - the company who almost single-handedly resurrected the adventure genre with their Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones and Borderlands titles - are now working on a new game based on Guardians Of The Galaxy.

No, really, look:

Not much to go on here, but do you really care? The fact that a Telltale Guardians Of The Galaxy game is on the way is reason enough to celebrate.

According to a press release sent out after the trailer's debut, “players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot’s seat in directing their escapades around the universe.” To me that sounds like we'll get a chance to play as each member of Peter Quill's motley crew (perhaps as a different character in each of the game's five episodes?), and that's just as it should be.

Anyway, Telltale's Guardians Of The Galaxy will be out sometime in 2017, so we won't have to wait too long for this one. Stay tuned for updates as they roll in.
