The folks over at AVP Galaxy have been absolutely crushing it with the Alien: Covenant scoops over the past few months, and now they've dropped another one on us. According to a new report at their site, none other than James Franco will be playing a role in Ridley Scott's upcoming Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel.
Here's what they're saying (caution: potential spoilers follow):
Alien vs. Predator Galaxy can exclusively reveal that James Franco will be making an appearance in Alien: Covenant.
Franco will be appearing in Alien: Covenant as Branson, the captain of the Covenant and husband of Katherine Waterson’ Daniels. Franco’s appearance in Alien: Covenant will only be brief, though. He appears in the first ten minutes or so of the film with later small appearances.
AVP Galaxy goes on to say that we'll see Franco in some of Alien: Covenant's viral marketing, which should be gearing up any day now: word on the street is, the film's first trailer will be arriving in the next few weeks (smart bet: it'll be attached to Assassin's Creed).
For those keeping score at home, this marks the 7,000th on-screen collaboration between Franco and Danny McBride, who's also a member of the Alien: Covenant cast. Congratulations to these two incredible funny and handsome gentlemen on their accomplishment!
Stay tuned for more on Alien: Covenant, perhaps in the very near future.
