Earlier this week, the first trailer for Matt Reeves' War For The Planet Of The Apes landed online. We looked upon it and saw that it was very, very good.
Now there's an international trailer for the film, and while a fair amount of the footage is the same, it also includes enough cool new stuff to make a second viewing worth it.
Take a look.
Of course the motion-capture (and accompanying CGI work) are gorgeous, but if we can engage in some real talk for a minute? What I'm really feeling about this thing is Woody Harrelson. My dude's giving off a pronounced Mickey Knox-gone-military vibe in these trailers that I am very much onboard with. More of that, please.
Here's the official plot synopsis, as if you couldn't guess what War For The Planet Of The Apes is about:
Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
Matt Reeves' War For The Planet Of The Apes arrives on July 14th, 2017. We can't wait.
