HANNIBAL’s Richard Armitage Joins The OCEAN’S EIGHT Cast
Gary Marshall's Ocean's Eight - the female-driven sidequel to Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's trilogy - already has a sprawling, gigantic cast. It's so big, in fact, that you'd be forgiven for thinking that Ocean's Eight is done bringing on new cast members: at a certain point, there simply won't be any actors left to hire.
And yet, here we are:
Ocean’s 8 cast has added English actor Richard Armitage (The Hobbit trilogy, Into the Storm). His character is currently unknown.
That's from a report over at Coming Soon, which - while inarguably accurate - fails to mention that Armitage played Francis Dolarhyde on the third season of NBC's dearly-departed Hannibal. With all due respect to the good folks at Coming Soon, this is not an oversight we are prepared to accept. Fixed that for you!
As for that sprawling cast, here's a recap of everyone else who's currently slated to appear in Ocean's Eight: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Damian Lewis, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, James Corden, and - in what Coming Soon says will be cameo appearances - Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Anna Wintour, Adriana Lima and Katie Holmes. Not appearing as far as we know: Sam Saathoff.
Production is still underway on Ocean's Eight, with current plans calling for a summer 2018 release. Stay tuned for more on this one as it becomes available.
