Finally! APOCALYPSE NOW Will Be A Video Game

This makes about as much sense as anything else, these days.

Have you ever wanted to go surfing with Lt. Col. Kilgore? Take enemy fire while floating downriver with Captain Willard? Party down with Colonel Kurtz? For decades these pleasures have been denied video game players. But not anymore.

There is now a Kickstarter, in association with Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope, to get an Apocalypse Now RPG off the ground. It’ll only take $900,000 (as an opening goal). Rewards span from an early copy of the game to your own Air Cav surfboard to, well, it’s a long list of stuff. Go check it out, if you’re so inclined.

The game will by people involved with Fallout: New Vegas, Far Cry, and a bunch of other games that are actually for real. This is going to be one of those game where you have to choose your actions very carefully (listen to a lot of conversations), and I’m sure they will find a way for it to not be tasteless. I’m just positive.

Given that this is a Kickstarter that only just Kickstarted, it’s going to be Apocalypse Later before you get your chance to play this. Might I recommend you spend that time trying to play the Godfather game?
