Now We Know What Paul Thomas Anderson’s Next Movie Is About
Thanks to a just-issued press release (as excerpted over at The Playlist), we now have an official logline for Paul Thomas Anderson's next movie. Spoiler alert: turns out it's the fashion-industry drama it was rumored to be.
Here's their description:
Continuing their creative collaboration following 2007’s There Will Be Blood, which earned Mr. Day-Lewis the Best Actor Academy Award, Mr. Anderson will once again explore a distinctive milieu of the 20th century. The new movie is a drama set in the couture world of 1950s London. The story illuminates the life behind the curtain of an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society.
The press release also mentions that Day-Lewis will be joined by Lesley Manville (Another Year) and Vicky Krieps (A Most Wanted Man). It does not, however, mention a title. That will come later, probably about fifteen minutes before the first poster arrives.
We are big, big fans of PT Anderson here at Birth.Movies.Death., and are particularly fond of There Will Be Blood, so we're really excited to learn more about Untitled PT Anderson Dressmaker Movie as it becomes available. We'll keep you informed as the updates trickle in, but expect this one to go radio silent for awhile as PT Anderson puts his cast through their paces.
