Star Wars isn’t precious to me, and even if it were, I still wouldn’t consider it untouchable. And certainly, people have had their way with it. From Spaceballs, to Robot Chicken, to a million references in Kevin Smith movies, making light of Star Wars is nothing new. It's practically a pastime.
But no one deserves a spoof treatment from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the guys who forced movies like Vampires Suck and Epic Movie upon the world. Even movies I absolutely can’t stand should be safe from their juvenile, thoughtless drivel. Nevertheless, this is what is happening to poor Star Wars.
According to Variety, the duo will write and direct (get ready for irritation) Star Worlds Episode XXXIVE=MC2: The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Who Went Rogue. I can promise you, that will be the final time I ever type that shit out all the way. That thing is an affront to comedy. In a world filled with beautiful jokes, this one is the smallest fish in a pond the size of a mud puddle.
You can probably already envision what this movie will be like. It doesn’t take much imagination to make it, and it doesn’t take much to picture what you’re ignoring when the film comes out whenever. I am sorry to darken your day with this news.
