A Brief JEAN-CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON Update From Peter Atencio
Peter Atencio’s Jean-Claude Van Johnson was one of the best things I saw last year. Not everyone will agree, since I doubt everyone is as crazy for JCVD as I am, but watching my man work his way through a high-minded comedy from the guy who directed Keanu was a massive hoot, and I couldn’t wait for more.
Last we heard, the show got picked up for a season by Amazon. But that was months and months ago. While it’s nice to know more Jean-Claude Van Johnson is on the way, we’re at a point now where some more specifics might be in order.
Luckily, Peter Atencio heard our call and came to the rescue:
Currently in prep, begin shooting 5 new episodes of insanity in late March, will be released on Amazon late 2017. The world isn't ready yet. https://t.co/D67bzsassy

Yes, I am. It's less a tv series and more the best Van Damme movie you've never seen. The ultimate action-dramedy. https://t.co/0o5LMxLezB

So it looks like we’re getting five more episodes sometime before the year ends. Good enough for me! Especially with Atencio’s displayed enthusiasm. Plus, he even offered a cool logo:

Obviously, this is big news. Bigger than any Marvel scoop, I assure you. I have nothing but excitement for this one.
