According to Variety, walking-talking powerhouse Michael K. Williams (The Wire, 12 Years A Slave) is in final negotiations to join the cast of Phil Lord and Chris Miller's forthcoming - and as yet unnamed - Young Han Solo Movie.
As you might expect, details are scarce. All we know for now is that the film will tackle Solo's early adventures as a "rogue smuggler", and that it may have the best cast of any film in 2018, including: Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke (Terminator: Genisys).
At this time, Sam Saathoff has not been confirmed for the film, but word on the street is that he screen tested for "a pivotal and shocking role" sometime in the past week.
Now, this is usually the part where I'd offer up some speculation on who Williams might be playing in Untitled Young Han Solo Movie, but that seems like a waste of everyone's time. Chances are, it's a character we've never seen nor heard of before. So, rather than do that, let's all hit the comments and pitch Star Wars-esque names for Williams' character.
I'll start: Josh Smith.
