Good news, Legion fans: according to the folks over at IndieWire, Noah Hawley's latest has been officially renewed for a second season. The announcement was made earlier today by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, FX's Presidents of Original Programming.
“The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement. More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the super hero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations. It’s a privilege to work again with Noah, his producing partners, the outstanding cast and our partners at Marvel Television on another season of Legion.”
Y'know, Schrier ain't lying. Legion's definitely unique, a superhero show that takes legit creative risks and challenges its audience every single week, right on the very same device some people use to watch Gotham. Legion is weird and dense and chewy, and it's clear even now that there's a million different things you could do with it.
So, when's season two airing? Nothing's firm yet (apparently the episode count hasn't even been decided yet), but we'll keep you informed when that news arrives. Celebrate Legion in the space below while you wait.
