Michael Peña Confirms He’ll Be Back For ANT-MAN AND THE WASP
In a recent interview, Ant-Man MVP Michael Peña casually mentioned that he hadn't yet been asked to appear in Ant-Man And The Wasp, the forthcoming sequel to Peyton Reed's low-key blockbuster. Michael Peña enthusiasts everywhere (including here at Birth.Movies.Death.) were unamused.
Well, it appears that Peña’s uncertainty about the matter got back around to the good folks at Marvel, because his tune has changed. In a new interview with LRM, Peña makes it official:
“So, I’m doing Extinction next, that’s a Universal movie. And then I’m doing Ant-Man, Part 2.”
Not much to go on there other than the confirmation, but for those of us who were sweating Peña’s return to the franchise, it's still great news. And besides, this gives us yet another excuse to remind you to watch Observe And Report, which contains what may be the greatest Michael Peña moment of all time.
You're welcome.
