The Russo Bros Will Produce Daniels’ Next Movie

To be honest, there’s not much more to this story beyond the headline, but Joe & Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War) have made a deal with the Swiss Army Man directing duo, Daniels, to produce their upcoming sci-fi movie (which the formerly flatulent auteurs will also write and produce). There aren’t any plot details to speak of yet, so you can let your imaginations run wild with the possibilities. I’m personally pulling for something that involves talking animals, but that’s just because talking animals would make any movie better.

Most interesting (beyond BMD faves Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert getting a chance to follow-up their impeccable freshman feature) is that the Russo Bros are utilizing the influence they’ve gained by helming Marvel blockbusters to empower young visionaries. The Russos have back-to-back Avengers sequels on deck (with Infinity Wars set to drop May 4, 2018), and if you haven’t had a chance to check out Swiss Army Man yet, it’s currently streaming across multiple platforms (including Amazon Prime!) and on DVD/Blu.
