New ALIEN: COVENANT Clip Explains What Happened After PROMETHEUS
Earlier this afternoon, the folks over at 20th Century Fox held a big live-stream event in celebration of Alien Day. It was pretty cool! The Alien: Covenant cast showed up (including a remarkably svelte-looking Danny McBride), there was an amateur art contest (some dude's design is gonna be sold on t-shirts at Wal-Mart!), and - last but certainly not least - Ridley Scott showed up to introduce a brand-new clip from Alien: Covenant, one which bridges the gap between next month's film and 2012's Prometheus.
Take a look:

Okay, so, technically, this sequence isn't exactly "from" Alien: Covenant. All that stuff with Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David (Michael Fassbender), palling around on the Engineer's ship? Filmed during the production, but not actually in the movie. That stuff at the end, however - wherein David parks his ship above the Engineer home world - is in the movie.
What we have here, then, is a little bonus for fans of the franchise, a fun little bridge in between Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. Pretty cool seeing Shaw and David interact again, even if their relationship is almost certainly doomed (rest assured, we'll find out more about Shaw's fate in Covenant).
We've got more on today's Alien Day panel headed your way shortly. Until then, be aware that Alien: Covenant arrives on May 19th, and that our exclusive Alien issue of Birth.Movies.Death. magazine is currently on sale over here while supplies last!
