Tonight's the opening night for The Overlook Film Festival, and it kicked off with the world premiere screening of Stephanie, the new dystopian horror out from Blumhouse and directed by Akiva Goldsman (look for my review tomorrow).
Both Goldsman and Jason Blum were there to introduce the film and give a Q&A afterwards, and they had a Stephen King announcement for this perfectly appropriate crowd: Blumhouse is working with Goldsman to produce a remake of King's Firestarter. Goldsman is directing and co-writing along with Rectify's Scott Teems.
Pretty big news! What do you guys think about it?
