Deadpool “was fire, as the kids say” as the Gen X’ers say, so its no surprise its sequel is one of more hotly anticipated movies on the superhero docket. Its translation of the more self-referential version of the character in recent years was a huge part of its success, and per Ryan Reynolds’ Twitter (Deadpool’s own Twitter, basically) one of the locales for its fourth-wall-breaking jokes appears to be getting a revisit:
Dropped by the X-Mansion. Big fucking surprise. No one's home. pic.twitter.com/svbUMEdKbb— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) June 17, 2017
Say what you will about Deadpool, its marketing was hilarious from the start, and it feels like the sequel is going to follow suit. Who could Wade be trying to recruit at Charles Xavier’s Home For Wolverine, Mystique and Others? We know Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead will be back, and they’ll be joined by Josh Brolin’s Cable, Zazie Beetz Domino and Jack Kessy’s Black Tom, so speculate away!
Skull Poop 2 hits theatres June 1st 2018.
