THE BAD BATCH Soundtrack Gets A Vinyl Release And A Music Video

You're gonna want this soundtrack.

Music is a critical part of film. Whether it's making you feel abject terror in the most horrifying of scenes, making you weep at some tragic something-or-other, or uplifting you as you watch your hero save the day, it elevates already important scenes in every film.

Ana Lily Amirpour's The Bad Batch is no exception to that rule. You'll have proof enough of that once you check out the movie, but they've just released a delightfully weird music video for the song "All the Colours of the Dark" to get you in the mood.

Check it out:

Not only can you watch that on loop until you manage to get yourself to the theater to check out the film, you can get the whole soundtrack for all your post-apocalyptic needs. It'll look real nice with the rest of your collection as well, with cover art by the one and only Jay Shaw and Death Waltz Recording Company.

Here's the cover/case and the interior:

You can pre-order the album here, and nab an official handbill (signed by director Ana Lily Amirpour) right here. For the detail-oriented collectors in the crowd, here's the full press release:

Death Waltz Recording Co., in conjunction with Lakeshore Records are proud to present the soundtrack to THE BAD BATCH, the sophomore film from Ana Lily Amripor, and we are thrilled to continue our relationship with her after championing her debut A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT.
As with her debut, music is an essential ingredient throughout THE BAD BATCH and it more than lives up to it's predecessors killer soundtrack. This time interspersed throughout the songs are lines of dialog from the film creating a truly immersive listening experience. The songs themselves run from bona fide pop bangers (Ace Of Base & Culture Club) cutting edge techno/electro (Black Light Smoke & Path Du Prince) shimmering electronica (Darkside/Chilled By Nature) through to the classic spaghetti stylings of Death Waltz's own Federale.
The package is rounded out with die-cut artwork by Jay Shaw, who did such a killer job on the A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT record packaging, that it was no brainer we bring him back for this psychedilic mind-expanding record.
