X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Will Introduce Us To Dazzler

I know what you've been thinking, X-Men fans: "Yes, yes - we're all very excited to see the Dark Phoenix storyline adapted yet again, but what of Dazzler? Will Dazzler be in this one? Please, someone, for the love of God, give us this information so that we might move on with our lives."

Well, I've got good news: Entertainment Weekly just made it official - Dazzler's going to be in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Says EW:

"EW has learned Dazzler will pop up but only in a small role and there is no plan at the moment to have (Taylor) Swift play her."

You may recall some internet chatter from a year or two back, where...y'know, I'm not entirely sure what the deal was with that. Fans petitioning for Taylor Swift to play Dazzler? Bryan Singer threatening to cast Taylor Swift as Dazzler? Was it all just a two-day fever dream propagated by a bunch of nerds on Twitter? Who can say! All we know now is, Swift isn't lined up for this version of Dazzler. Sorry, folks.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix begins shooting this summer. It'll have Dazzler in it. You're welcome.
